Purchase "Baa-iley the Goat" Children's Book

Baa-ily the Goat
"BAA-ILEY" (Goat #226) got her front leg stuck in the fork of a hawthorn tree and almost died of exposure on September 11, 2008. Her leg did not fully recover but due to her feistiness, she managed to get around okay for the three years she was on Roan Mountain.

In fact, she gave birth to a girl (#510) in 2010, retired in 2011. She died on March 24, 2012.

Rosalie Russo wrote of Baa-iley's experience in what started as a Christmas card but grew into a children's book, "Baa-iley Goat, a true story". Jerry Greer converted Rosalie's artwork and text into publication format and Friends of Roan Mountain paid the publication costs. Proceeds help fund the Baatany Goat Project.
